Sittin In A Creek Or KRIK

we get stronger sitting on a rock in a creek? I am sitting in the middle of a swift moving stream. That is precisely what my life feels like right now. I got here somehow one a very rocky road. There was a warning sign at the beginning of the road that said it maybe impassable due to weather and road conditions. My Durango has one tire that is totally bald. The other tire on the same side is almost as bad. I have one good spare. I keep doing this somehow. This is one thing that keeps me returning home, my children.
The sound of the stream helps my thoughts not to wonder to pains past and present. It draws me in soothing and refreshing. I feel it tingling on my toes. I toppled into it earlier. I was a cool August temperature soak to my parched skin drenching my swim suit. Not the shocking spring runoff that one expects in early summer. The sun on my rock dries and kisses my skin.
My journey continues like this for a while. Pleasant for long enough to recover, then the stones roll through again. I am still standing reaching to the sky calling on Heaven. Thanking God for the beauty. Praying for the light and feeling the grace. Of a sweet kiss, a child’s smile, a new skill learned, a master at his task, a sunset. The mountain air, a family united a hope for a better day. This is why I wake each morning, why I live and why I love. God only knows why I give.

Welcome Home!

Here we begin again! Life in the Heber Valley after 18 years absence. The high should reach 16 tomorrow. It am usually excited for anything over 30. I will try to get some of my exciting pictures posted. Life is great here. Small town at it's very best. Were you can call the grocery store and ask if someone is still shopping and tell them you need them to pick up one more item!
